Collaboration & Vision · Rigorous Alignment

Behind the Scenes

Applying the same habit, get the right people in a room before designing anything, across six smaller problems, I reduced navigation friction, accelerated design delivery, and boosted squad velocity.

Not every high-impact project is a single named case study. This is a tour of six smaller problems solved the same way: facilitate alignment first, then design.

AI integration misalignment

Cross-functional teams had divergent visions for how AI should show up in the product, creating ambiguity and misalignment. Facilitated design workshops with product, engineering, solutions, and sales stakeholders to converge on one direction.

List page usability

Users ran into unclear filters, limited search, and no way to customize table columns. Shipped enhanced search, filtering, and customizable columns.

Email builder complexity

Cordial's email builder required advanced expertise, creating barriers for non-technical users. Redesigned around a more intuitive tri-fold layout.

Alert strategy gaps

Users were unclear on how to interpret, locate, or act on different types of alerts. Delivered a unified alerting framework (see Trust-Centered Alerts for the deeper version of this problem).

Team handoff inefficiencies

Inconsistent handoffs and misaligned expectations between design, product, and engineering caused real inefficiency. Designed tailored processes with explicit handoff criteria and communication protocols.

Business intelligence gaps

Leadership at Spectraforce lacked visibility into aggregated revenue, gross margin, and headcount data. Built a customizable reporting framework to close the gap.

Outcome

Across all six: reduced navigation friction, improved accessibility, accelerated design delivery, and boosted squad velocity, the metric the team cared about most.
